PACK
Corporate ID & Packaging Design
PACK is a brand that aims to provide mental health resources for marine veterans during their transition from active duty to civilian life. As of 2018 more than half of the suicides committed by veterans were aged 18-30. The solution to combat this issue was to provide a care package that would go with them as they are returning home with resources and tools.

Logo Mark

PACK stands for Positivity, Acceptance, Clarity, and Knowledge. These are four terms that are necessary in order to overcome trauma, depression, PTSD, and other mental health related illnesses. The name behind pack not only refers to wolf pack, but also that each marine will receive this package, pack being short for that. The two wolves are meant to symbolize my friend Tommy and his twin brother David. They both were marines who took their lives in 2017. This brand was created in honor of them in hopes of decreasing the number of suicides in the age range of 18-30 years old.

The journal included will be mostly blank with different prompts scattered throughout. Blank pages versus lines allows for the freedom of personal expression to be explored. For some that might be writing, where as for others it might be drawing, collaging, painting, ect. PACK's tagline for their journal is "Put it on paper" because sometimes that's easier than talking.

"For the strength of the wolf is in the pack, and the strength of the pack is in the wolf."
- Rudyard Kipling
Each box will contain a personally addressed letter outlining the purpose of the package and PACK's mission. It will also let each marine know that they have options when it comes to their mental health.
